Admissions Policy
Every person, as a child of God, regardless of race, condition, or age, has equal dignity and an inalienable right to an education. Therefore, Santa Clara College Preparatory High School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, racial or ethnic origin, in the administration of its educational policies, its admission policies, its grant programs, or in its athletic and other school programs.
Application Process Parents of students interested in attending Santa Clara College Preparatory High School can request an application online or by visiting the Admissions Office in person. The application process requires the following:
The application fee for the 2011-12 school year is:
For applications submitted between October 1, 2010 and January 14, 2011: $75.00
For applications submitted after January 14, 2011: $100

Students must submit to letters of recommendation. Letters should be obtained from someone that could write a positive recommendation
as to why the applicant would be a good fit for Santa Clara College Preparatory High School.

Admissions:
Parents of students who wish to apply for admission may pick up admission materials in the Admissions Office or apply online. The early admissions deadline is January 14, 2011. All students who complete their application by the deadline will be notified by mid-March of their acceptance status. Students who wish to enter grade 9 and who do not meet the admission deadline are welcome to apply to the school at any time and will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis. Entrance Exam: Students applying for the 9th grade must take the standardized entrance exam on Saturday, January 22, 2011 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The fee for the entrance exam is included in the application fee. Transfer Students: Minimum academic requirements apply. Santa Clara College Preparatory High School adheres to C.I.F. transfer eligibility rules for athletes. Students must have a 2.0 GPA with no "F" grades on their transcript. Transfer students are accepted based on space availability. Transfer student placement is limited. We cannot guarantee admissions. |
